Previous reports pegged the upcoming Motorola Razr to be released between this coming December and January 2020. But it looks like the phone will actually launch a month ahead of the predicted schedule.
CNET reports that the Lenovo subsidiary has sent out invitations to an event on 13 November. The company said that the event will feature the “highly anticipated unveiling of a reinvented icon”. The invite also reportedly came with a GIF that shows the silhouette of the device.
Motorola has applied for foldable device patents since August of last year. The first was more rudimentary, showcasing a phone with a foldable display. Another one was granted in January this year, showcasing the Razr’s iconic bottom chin. Both show a form-factor of a standard smartphone when unfolded.
Prior reports also indicated that the upcoming Motorola Razr will be a mid-range device. Items on the spec sheet include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 2730mAh battery. We’ll know for sure if this is indeed the case come 13 November.
