In conjunction with Google’s launch of the Pixel 4 and Pixelbook Go, Logitech announced its first set of “Made for Google” wireless keyboard and mouse. These products are the Logitech M355 Portable Wireless Mouse and the Chrome OS Edition K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard.
Compared to other wireless keyboards, one feature that makes the K580 stand out is its dedicated Google Assistant key. Instead of the usual function (F1 – F12) keys, the keyboard features Chrome OS shortcuts at the top for ease of access.
Design-wise, it utilises scissor switches. Because it’s a full-sized keyboard as well, it comes with a numpad attached to it.
Additionally, there’s a base at the top of the keyboard where you can place your smart device for easy viewing. Moreover, because the K580 supports Logitech’s Easy-Switch mode, you can easily switch typing between up to three devices. Lastly, the keyboard’s battery can last up to 36 months and features an auto-sleep mode that powers down the keyboard when not in use. Further extending the battery life.
Moving on, the M355 Portable Wireless Mouse is a lightweight mouse made for portability. For connectivity, users can choose between the built-in Bluetooth or simply use the USB receiver bundled with the mouse. Like the K580, the mouse also features the auto-sleep mode that powers down the mouse when not in use. On that note, the mouse’s battery can last up to 18 months.
The Logitech K580 will retail for US$49.99 (~RM 209) while the M355 will be sold for US$29.99 (~RM 125). At the time of writing, Logitech did not specify local availability and pricing.
