Here in Malaysia, when it comes to high-speed, 100% fibre internet connectivity, it’s safe to say that there’s an internet package for almost every Malaysian in the country. Depending on your internet service provider (ISP), consumers can choose from internet speeds from as low as 30Mbps for just RM79, all the way up to a whopping 1Gbps for RM199 a month.
While the packages offered by some of the ISPs seem enticing, some of these ISPs do not provide the fibre internet speeds advertised on these packages. To make matters even worse, almost all of them require consumers to be locked down to a 24-month contract when signing up. To add insult to injury, consumers can end up incurring a penalty fee by the ISP, should they choose to terminate their subscription prematurely (i.e. before the contract is up).
On that note, TIME is currently offering consumers the chance to enjoy all the benefits of its tried and trusted 100% fibre internet plans, all without that dreadful 24-month lock-in.
Who Benefits?
With no lock-in, this plan is perfect for a multitude of people who want to enjoy TIME’s 100% fibre and high-speed internet connectivity, sans the usual 24-month period. Expatriates stationed in Malaysia are just one group that would benefit from this plan, especially given the short period of time they’re in the country.
The plan is also perfect for college and university students who just moved into a flat and are on a tight budget. For that matter, TIME’s no lock-in plan is also the perfect internet solution for short-term renters who find themselves frequently moving from one place to another.
Of course, if there’s one group that TIME’s no lock-in plan is perfect for, it would be for the ones who are still on the fence about committing to the ISP. For a minimum one time payment of RM400, interested parties can take the ISP’s lightning-fast internet speeds for a spin.
What Options Do I Have?
At this stage, you’re probably wondering; how does TIME’s No Lock-In plan work? Firstly, users will need to choose from one of TIME’s three broadband packages: 100Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps. Once decided, they simply need to fill in their personal details for billing processes and then proceed to pay a one-time, upfront fee. For users opting for 100Mbps and 500Mbps, that fee is RM400. For the 1Gbps option, the fee is slightly pricier at RM500.
Customers under the No Lock-in plan can use TIME’s internet package indefinitely, with the ability to upgrade or downgrade their package without having to worry about paying a penalty or resetting their current contract. Of course, as we mentioned earlier, should the customer find the service unsatisfactory, they are free to cancel their plan without a termination fee. However, a minimum notice period of seven days is required to do so.
Once again, if the customer feels that TIME’s service is satisfactory and choose to tie themselves down with a 24-month contract, the initial upfront payment will be given back as a rebate in periods between eight to 10 months.
But Why TIME?
Why choose TIME? Compared to the other ISP providers in Malaysia, TIME has some of the most affordable high-speed broadband packages on the market. Pricing starts at RM99 per month for the 100Mbps package, but the company’s best-seller is its 500Mbps package, which retails for a monthly fee of RM139.
More importantly, it is the only ISP in the current market that offers a 1Gbps full-fibre internet package, and at a monthly fee of RM199. Further, TIME will provide the appropriate router for your package; For 100Mbps and 500Mbps, customers will be given a TP-Link EC230 router, while those that subscribe to the 1Gbps package will receive a D-Link DIR-882 router.
And you don’t have to worry about self-installing either the modem or router yourself. TIME’s tech ninjas will do everything for you, from the installation of the devices in your home, right down to ensuring that your 100% fibre, high-speed internet experience is available in every room.
