The rumour of new AirPods has been making its rounds since April. Now, Apple may be looking into making a noise-cancelling AirPods. According to 9to5Mac, the existence of in-ear noise cancelling AirPods have been found by data miners in iOS 13.2 Beta files.
Apple’s wireless earbuds may sport the traditional ear tips that extend out to fit your ears for noise isolation. 9to5Mac says that the icon is found in the system where it sits in the accessibility settings. This may suggest that it will also work as a hearing aid.
The beta OS also contains indications that it will have different listening modes. This includes with and without noise-cancelling, which is called “focus mode”. The rumoured upcoming AirPods comes with a model code of B298. It also looks similar to a leaked “AirPods 3” prototype from Slashleaks.
Currently, there is still no official news from Apple regarding any new AirPods. That said, there is an Apple event coming up later this month. Until then, it’s still best to take all this with a pinch of salt, as with any leaks.
