Following up to the announcement of its Surface Laptop 3, Microsoft also announced the Surface Pro 7, the long-awaited follow up to last year’s Surface Pro 6. On the outside, the Surface Pro 7 looks identical to its predecessor.
It retains the same 12.3-inch PixelSense Display, and comes with the same Surface Type Keyboard and Surface Pen. Where the Surface Pro 7 sets itself apart from the Surface Pro 6, though, is its new USB-C port. The new port replaces the mini DisplayPort that previously shipped out with its predecessor. It’s a smart move on Microsoft’s part, especially since USB-C is more versatile and has more applications than a mini DisplayPort.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 will launch on 22 October in the US; the same time as the Surface Laptop 3. The device will retail from US$749 (~RM3141).
