The Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally making its way to the consumer market. That said, it’s not exactly widely available for now, and it comes with quite the hefty price tag. The company is reportedly working on the next Galaxy Fold that will be more widely available, as well as affordable.
As it is, the Samsung Galaxy Fold comes packed to the brim with the best innards, including 512GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. SamMobile reports that the next Galaxy Fold will come with 256GB of storage instead which will also reduce its price.
The report also states that the new Galaxy Fold will be made available worldwide, including China. As it is now, the Galaxy Fold was released in South Korea and select European markets earlier in the month. The US will only be getting it at the end of this week. There’s also no word on when it will be available in Malaysia.
SamMobile’s report states that the new Galaxy Fold isn’t likely to make an appearance until next year. With that in mind, it’s likely that there will be way more differences between the two generations of foldable phones than just storage capacity and price.
