Two weeks ago, OPPO’s Vice President Brian Shen teased an upgrade to the brand’s fast charging tech. Today, the brand announced not just one, but three new fast charging tech updates. They are the 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0, the 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge, and VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.
The most impressive among them is, as you’d expect, is the first one. It’s also likely the one that the teaser from before was referencing. With it, a 4000mAh battery can be fully charged in 30 minutes. As a reference point, OPPO’s Find X Lamborghini Edition supports the brand’s previous fastest charger, filling up a 3730mAh battery in 35 minutes.

Both the new Wireless VOOC Flash Charge and VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 tech are rated at 30W. They are also capable of very similar charging speeds. Using the same 4000mAh battery, OPPO claims that the 30W Wireless VOOC Flahs Charge tech can fully charge the battery in 80 minutes. The new VOOC Flash Charge 4.0, on the other hand, does it slightly faster, in 37 minutes.
OPPO did not specify when we’ll be seeing these new fast charging tech in the market. That said, the company did tease an upcoming phone called the Reno Ace that will sport the 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge tech. The phone itself is also said to be scheduled for an announcement on 10 October 2019.
