Vivo Malaysia has announced that it will be launching the V17 Pro on 1 October 2019. The company also announced that the phone has recently received its SIRIM certification. This likely means that it won’t be too long await between its announcement and availability on shelves.
Being the the successor to the V15 Pro, you can expect to see the V17 Pro getting improvements to key features found on the former. One of them appears to be the popup front-facing cameras. Where the V15 Pro had one camera on the popup, the V17 Pro comes with two. One is a 32MP wide-angle shooter, which is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. As for the rear camera setup, the V17 Pro will come with a 48MP + 8MP wide-angle + 2MP + 2MP quad combo.
Other items rumoured to be on the spec sheet includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 4100mAh battery. It is also said to come with a fingerprint sensor under the rumoured 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display.
Despite Vivo Malaysia revealing the launch date of the V17 Pro, the company stopped short of actually confirming the specs of the phone. Fortunately, 1 October isn’t too far away, and we’ll not only get confirmation on the phone’s specs, but also its local pricing details.
