Ahead of the Huawei Mate 30 series launch event that is going to take place on 19 September, the Chinese technology giant yesterday has confirmed that the new series will also include a special edition model. Just like the 2018 Mate 20 and 2017 Mate 10 series, the new model is conceived through a collaboration with Porsche Design.
Officially called the Mate 30 RS, the long-time serial leaker Evan Blass has put up several of its photos online in less than 24 hours after Huawei teases the phone on Twitter. In addition to the one shown above, below is the second photo which depicted the front part of the phone:
Based on these photos, it seems that Huawei and Porsche Design has opted for the same basic design language as per Mate 20 RS which focused on the middle rear part of the phone together with the implementation of leather back cover. As a comparison, here is the last year’s Mate 20 RS:
Given Evan’s track record, it is hard to doubt the legitimacy of these images. Nevertheless, do stay tuned for the official announcement on 19 September to learn more about the Mate 30 RS as well as other devices that Huawei is going to launch at the event in Munich.
