Earlier yesterday, Nintendo announced that it will be porting several Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) games to its online-based Nintendo Switch Online. Those games are now available from today onwards.
In total, Nintendo has ported 20 games to the online service, with more titles to be added in the near the future. One of the titles is the original Super Mario Kart that first released in 1992. Other favourites include Star Fox, Super Metroid, and for fans of the Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Alongside with the SNES port, Nintendo is also launching a wireless SNES controller with USB-C charging for the Nintendo Switch. The controller is priced at US$29.99 (~RM125).
The Nintendo Switch Online service went live back in September 2018. To date, the service has three subscription options; opting for a monthly subscription will cost US$3.99 (~RM16) per month, US$7.99 (~RM33) for a three-month subscription or you could simply pay US$19.99 (~RM83) on an annual basis.
Family plan sharing is also available for $US34.99 (~RM146) per year, and can support up to eight consoles at once.
