As the launch of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro looms closer, a video render of the alleged device has leaked online. It shows off a device with a notch and no volume buttons, but more importantly, it gives us a somewhat clearer view of the circular-shaped quad-camera module leaked prior.
Around the front, it appears that Huawei still isn’t giving up the notch on the Mate 30 Pro, to hide the front-facing camera and other sensors.
The lack of a volume rocker is a rather big surprise, and actually something of a big deal. This could mean Huawei might replace it with pressure-sensitive sensors at the side panels. If that sounds familiar, that’s because HTC did something similar with its Edge Sense side sensors.
Additionally, the Mate 30 Pro seems to sport thin bezels, giving it a greater screen-to-body ratio. Like its predecessor, the Mate 20 Pro, it seems that the Mate 30 Pro will not have a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack.
The SIM card tray is also located at the base of the following, next to the USB-C connector and loudspeaker.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is slated to be unveiled on 19 September at Munich, Germany. Considering the fact that the device may not be sporting the full Android OS or Google Play experience at launch, it will be interesting to see how Huawei intends to workaround this hurdle with its upcoming flagship device.
