For such a long time, Google has associated its Android operating system with confectionary names. The current example being the Android 9 Pie but it is going to be last of its kind though as the company has decided to say farewell to the much-loved naming scheme.
Starting from Android Q, the operating system will not be named based on desserts. In an effort to make the operating system more global, Android Q will be officially called Android 10 instead.
At the same time, Google has also decided to update Android’s branding. For starters, the world-famous Android robot has been adapted into the logo itself and the company has also changed the logo colourway from green to black in order to make easier to read.
The updated logo will be officially be used by the company for the final release of Android 10 that apparently will take place in the coming weeks. Well, we’ll surely be going to miss the confectionary-themed names though.
