The OPPO Reno was launched on our shores only three months ago. And now, it looks like it will have a successor already. Naturally, it will be called the OPPO Reno 2. Based on the company’s teaser, the launch will take place in India on 28 August 2019.
The company posted the teaser using its Indian Twitter handle. Beyond the launch date, it also includes an illustration that features four rear cameras. From the looks of it, the front-facing camera will come with an angled popup mechanism similar to the one found on the first Reno.

The rear camera setup of the Reno 2 will also be capable of 20x zoom. This suggests a telephoto lens among the four cameras. The 20x zoom capability will also likely be of the hybrid variety. This is considering the first Reno had a 10x Zoom edition capable of its namesake 10x hybrid zoom.
And that’s it, as far as information goes. We’ll have to wait for another two weeks before the company releases more on the phone. As mentioned, the OPPO Reno 2 will be announced in India on 28 August.
