During the Huawei Developer Conference, the Chinese tech giant has announced that it will not be using HarmonyOS while it still has access to Android. And on the Android front, the company has also announced the EMUI 10, based on Android 10 Q which is still in beta.
The company shared a number of features to expect in the new Android overlay. Some of these include a system-wide dark mode and multi-screen support. The first one is also quite the major feature on Android Q. That said, Huawei didn’t go into detail about what else that one can expect from the new overlay.

What was shared instead was the fact that a beta version of EMUI 10 is set to be released on 8 September. According to Android Police, this will likely coincide with Android Q’s stable release. The first phones that will be getting this are the Huawei P30 devices. That said, XDA reports that this may only apply to the devices that are within China.
In addition to the P30 line, a number of other Huawei divices will also be getting EMUI 10. Among them are the Mate 20 family of devices, the P20 set of phones, and the Mate 10. That said, the company did not say anything about when these devices will be getting the new overlay.
