If you follow the local video game development scene, then you’ve probably heard of level Up KL before. For those who haven’t, it’s the annual event organised by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) for the people involved in the industry. It has always been an event for developers, but this year, two days out of the five-day event will be open to the public.
The event itself is scheduled to happen between 6 and 10 November, 2019. The first three days are the usual business side of things. Aptly, it’s called Level Up Biz and will take place at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre (CCEC) at Bangsar South. On the weekends, the public event, called Level Up Play, will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
As it’s still a ways ahead of the event, MDEC has only shared a rough schedule of the event. Evidently, the Play days could use more details. That said, it’s to be expected since this is the debut of the Level Up Play. On the flip side, Level Up Biz does seem quire fleshed out, as it’s an annual event after all.
Also, no ticket pricing has been announced just yet. This applies to both the Biz and Play segments of Level Up KL. That said, you could periodically check on the Level Up KL website to see if there’s any update on the event.
