In conjunction with the launch of its Galaxy Note10 series, Samsung also launched its new Galaxy Watch Active2. On top of that, the brand also unveiled a special edition Galaxy Watch Active2 made in collaboration with the fitness brand, Under Armour.
The device, known officially as the Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour edition, comes with some features that are exclusive to it. Including an Always-On Running Coach, Under Armour’s MapMyRun app, and the exclusive ability to pair the smartwatch with Under Armour’s HOVR footwear.
Breaking it down, the Always-On Running coach basically provides real-time form and fitness coaching to the wearer, enabling them to get the most out of their runs. If the watch happens to be connected to the brand’s connected footwear, the user will also be provided with visual feedback, and even hear audio cues during a workout.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition also includes six months free membership for the MapMyRun Premium Membership. The app gives users access to training plans, providing them with workout options that they can try and complete. If the user also happens to have a pair of Galaxy Buds, they can also run with audio cues being played to them in intervals throughout the workout.
In terms of design, the Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition comes in two sizes: a 40mm watch face with a Mod Grey strap and a 44mm with a Black strap. Both straps are made using Fluoroelastomer (FKM), and feature a breathable and comfortable design. The watch face also features a new rotating touch bezel and runs on Samsung’s One UI. Specs-wise, the watch is powered by an Exynos 9110 SoC, 768MB RAM, and features Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and NFC connectivity.
At the time of writing, Samsung did not specify when the Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour will be available in Malaysia.
