Local retailer DirectD earlier today has published a post on its Instagram page which stated that the much-rumoured Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro will be made available in Malaysia soon. However, the post was then removed by the retailer although by then, some of its customers have noticed the post.
As per what we have mentioned before, Mi 9T Pro technically doesn’t exist in Xiaomi’s catalogue just yet. Given the fact that the Mi 9T is a rebranded Redmi K20, many believed that Xiaomi will rename the Redmi K20 Pro to Mi 9T Pro for markets outside of China and India.
Additionally, traces of its existence have been found through various means though including MIUI Camera app as well as Wi-Fi Alliance [pdf] and Bluetooth SIG. According to the records from both technology groups, the Mi 9T Pro was registered under its actual name alongside model number M1903F11G.
For now, neither Mi 9T Pro nor its model number have appeared on SIRIM database though. Hence, it is hard to say whether the device is really confirmed for release in Malaysia but then again, DirectD does have a good track record when it comes to matters like this. So, stay tuned.
