Rumour has it that Apple could be planning on bringing Pencil support to the iPhone 11. The demand for tool functionality and support on the iPhone has been a hot topic for many, ever since it first appeared back in 2015.
Early reports initially suggested that the iPhone XS and XS Max were to be the first phones receive Apple Pencil support, but that clearly wasn’t the case. Since then, Apple has already released a 2nd generation of the Pencil, which launched alongside last year’s iPad Pro.
At one point, even famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the idea of an iPhone carrying Pencil support is a possibility, but fell short of stating when exactly that would be. However, Korean-based site, The Investor, also suggests that Apple may release an Apple Pencil-like stylus. Specifically for the iPhone 11, which is rumoured to be arriving sometime before the end of this year.
As exciting as that sounds, MacRumors caution its readers to take the news with a pinch of salt, as The Investor doesn’t exactly have a stellar track record when it comes to rumours.
In any case, we’ll just have to wait until the next major Apple announcement to find out if the company from Cupertino is indeed planning on bringing Apple Pencil support to its next iteration of iPhones.
