Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Gobind Singh Deo has stated that Telekom Malaysia will be making an announcement regarding its Streamyx service within the next few days. This was revealed in a response to several inquiries on Twitter earlier today.

In general, the upcoming announcement by TM was the result of the ultimatum given by the minister last month. Through the directive, the company was given a month to come out with solutions that can solve the issues faced by Streamyx customers including slow speed and high price although TM has previously stated that it is already looking at a number of technologies including pre-5G network as part of the solution.
However, the exact date of the announcement was not revealed by the minister. With that, we’ll keep you posted once TM is ready to publicly reveal its next move for Streamyx customers.
