When rumours of the ASUS ROG Phone 2 first surfaced, one of the first things we heard of it was that it will have a 120Hz display. Now, shots of the phone have appeared on Weibo. One of them shows the home screen, while another showcases the interface where this option is accessed.
In the refresh rate select menu, it looks like the ASUS ROG Phone 2 comes with three options. They are 60Hz, 90 Hz, and 120Hz. As mentioned before, this is a step up from the original ROG phone, which only goes up to 90Hz. Also as mentioned before, there have been other phones to have achieved the 120Hz refresh rate before, most notably the Razer Phone.
From the shot, we also see a front-facing camera sitting at the top-right corner of the phone. It’s not sitting in a notch, nor has a part of the screen been cut out for it. It’s a design choice that’s getting more and more uncommon. That said, nothing else is known about the front-facing camera right now. The top and bottom of the phone also looks like it will come with stereo forward-facing speakers.
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is reportedly scheduled for a 23 July launch. It’s also the first phone to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus. As the phone’s launch isn’t too far away, it won’t be long before we find out more about the ASUS ROG Phone 2.
