UPDATE (1:30 PM): AirAsia has announced that its website and mobile app are now back to normal.
ORIGINAL STORY (11:30 AM):
We have received reports that AirAsia’s official website is currently down at the moment. However, the sign is not that obvious though since the URL airasia.com is still working.
While that address will currently bring you to the AirAsia Waiting Room, there is nothing outside of the ordinary for this particular implementation since AirAsia utilize it for quite some time to manage traffic, especially during a promtional period.
However, if you stay long enough, you would then notice that the AirAsia Waiting Room will keep on looping. In other words, you would not able to move on to the actual main site.

The site outage was officially acknowledged by AirAsia through a short statement on its newsroom just before 11:00 AM. The company has also stated that the outage is affecting its mobile app too and for now, the company didn’t provide any estimated recovery time.
