Samsung has announced its Galaxy Tab A (2019) 8.0, the tablet that the company says is the “affordable one for all” solution for all your needs. If you’re thinking that this sounds very familiar, you’d be right. This is because Samsung did announce a similar Galaxy Tab A tablet earlier in the year.
So what’s the new Galaxy Tab A (2019) 8.0 packing in terms of specs? To start, this one has an 8-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. It also comes with a 5100mAh battery, which is larger than the previous one. As for its chipset, it comes with an unspecified 2GHz, quad-core processor.
In terms of RAM and storage, we’re looking at a 2GB + 32GB combo, with support for up to 512GB of expandable storage via microSD. The 8MP main camera and the 2MP front-facing camera make a return to the current iteration. What doesn’t make the return is the S-Pen, which is likely the key difference between this Galaxy Tab A and the one announced earlier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) 8.0 is priced at RM599. At the time of writing, it’s not yet available for purchase from either Samsung Malaysia’s site or its official store on Lazada. That said, it should not take long for this to change.
