A presentation slide has been making its way around the Internet which suggested that claimed that TM is working on a new wireless plan under its unifi brand. While the company is already offering wireless broadband for quite some time, the new offering will deliver a new twist to its existing plan.
Here is the leaked slide in question:
As a comparison, unifi wireless broadband plan currently comes with 60GB of quota per month for RM 79. At the same time, customers also have to purchase the Huawei B618 LTE WiFi Router albeit at a discounted price of RM 565 instead of its usual price of RM 1099.
Also noticeable on the slide is the name of the new plan: unifi AIR. Given the wireless nature of the plan, the name does make sense. Some of our sources pointed out that TM might be using this plan as the go-to solution for Streamyx customers as per what the company has promised to the government before but there is no concrete proof at the moment.
With that, we are now reaching out to TM to obtain official comments from the company. So, stay tuned.
