Just hours after the company announced the price drop for its upcoming Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, AMD has also revealed the official local pricing of the graphics cards for Malaysia. This means that local consumers should be able to see the cards in stores on or shortly after its global release date on 7 July.
For starters, the Radeon RX 5700 will have a starting price of RM 1,659 while the higher-end Radeon RX 5700 XT will go for RM 1,859 onwards. In case you are wondering: yes, those prices are slightly higher than the pricing in USD.

As a comparison, the Radeon RX 5700 for the US market starts at USD 349 which is equivalent to around RM 1,444 according to today’s currency exchange rate. Similarly, the Radeon RX 5700 XT is priced at USD 399 which is around RM 1,651.
Meanwhile, AMD didn’t reveal whether the company will be launching the souped-up Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition card in Malaysia or otherwise. Then again, given its USD 449 (~RM 1,857) price tag, it would probably go beyond the RM 2,000 barrier if the card made its way to our market.
