Big brand seeking crowdfunding for their latest project seems to be on an upward trend, with Canon recently taking to Indiegogo to get its own action camera out and about. Now, a company called NINM Lab is looking for people to fund the IT’S OKAY Bluetooth portable cassette player.
The timing of the IT’S OKAY’s announcement is quite apt, considering that Sony recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of its Walkman cassette player. As stated on the product’s official Kickstarter page, IT’S OKAY was designed to “bring a new perspective to the romanticism of the ‘80s cassette player”. Understandably, the portable media player is teeming with nostalgia and a modern twist, and NINM Lab makes that point very clear.
Despite the cassette medium, the portable media player delivers its audio output via Bluetooth 5.0. Allowing users to listen to their favourite mix tape via wireless headphones. Of course, the cassette player still has a 3.5mm headphone jack for those among you who really wish to keep the nostalgia level on a high.
The IT’S OKAY Bluetooth cassette player has already surpassed its goal on Kickstarter, but if you wish, you can still contribute as little as US$63 (~RM260) to its funding anytime between today and 5 August 2019. The device also comes in three colours: Cloud white, Sakura Pink, and Evening Blue.
