If you are holding or using an Apple device at the moment, it is almost certain that you are looking at just one of the many products that have been designed by the company’s Chief Design Officer, Sir Jony Ive. In fact, Apple pretty much live and breathe Jony’s design as he is also the key designer for the company’s massive headquarters, Apple Park.
After almost 30 years with the company, Jony will depart Apple later this year in to establish his own design firm called LoveFrom. That being said, Jony will retain his relationship with Apple though as the company will become one of the primary clients for his new design outfit.
“Apple will continue to benefit from Jony’s talents by working directly with him on exclusive projects, and through the ongoing work of the brilliant and passionate design team he has built. After so many years working closely together, I’m happy that our relationship continues to evolve and I look forward to working with Jony long into the future.” – Tim Cook, CEO, Apple.
Taking over his role moving forward is the VP of Industrial Design, Evans Hankey as well as VP of Human Interface Design, Alan Dye. Both will be reporting to Jeff Williams who is the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Aside from Jony, another big change in Apple’s management team is the appointment of Sabih Khan as the Senior VP of Operations. Under this role, the 24-year Apple veteran will be looking after the company’s global supply chain which is quite a massive undertaking given the reach that Apple has throughout the world.
