DOOM Eternal is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the most anticipated titles and the sequel to the DOOM reboot that launched back in 2016. At Bethesda’s E3 2019, the studio officially announced that the game will be hitting store shelves on 22 November this year.
Besides the usual clips of gameplay, the new trailer also seems to suggest that there will be a point in the game where the Doomslayer will be fighting his way through the forces of heaven. Yes, really.
This would be the first time in the franchise where a concept and idea of heaven seems to play a pivotal role in the main story, although to what extent exactly, heaven knows (pun intended).
DOOM Eternal first announced the game during last year’s E3, followed by gameplay footage that was unveiled during its annual QuakeCon event last year. As mentioned earlier, the game is a sequel to the last DOOM title that launched back in 2016, with the forces and corruption of Hell having already spread to Earth.
