Earlier in the week, we heard reports that this year’s Call of Duty will simply be called Modern Warfare. It’s made as a soft reboot of the subseries with the same name. And now we know when the game will be out.
The release date was revealed at the end of the title’s reveal trailer, which reads 25 October. The trailer also prominently features the subseries main character Captain Price. Familiar scenes from the Modern Warfare subseries are also shown, reimagined for the reboot.
This year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also be a complete experience, unlike the recently released Black Ops 4. The series’ singleplayer campaign makes a return, as well as the traditional multiplayer modes. There will also be multiplayer co-op modes similar to those found in the original Modern Warfare subseries as well.
As mentioned before, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on 25 October 2019. It will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
