Back in March, we first heard rumours of Samsung killing physical buttons for the Galaxy Note 10. Now, sources to Android Police have said that they will not be the only victims of the culling. The increasingly rare 3.5mm audio jack may be on its way out as well.
Samsung has held on to the beloved jack when more and more brands are slowly abandoning it, especially on their higher end products. If the Korean tech giant indeed eliminates the 3.5mm audio jack on the Galaxy Note 10, there’s a chance that it will also be absent in next year’s Galaxy S models.
The source also confirmed existing rumours about the Galaxy Note 10 having two size variants. That said, the report made no mention of the potential specs difference that surfaced with the initial rumours. Also not mentioned is if both sizes will adopt a naming convention unusual to the Galaxy Note line.
Either way, it’s still best to take all of this with a pinch of salt. With the Galaxy Note line traditionally getting announced in August, it won’t be much longer until we hear an official announcement from Samsung.
