ASUS officially announced the ZenBook Edition 30 at a special event at the eve of Computex 2019. Besides being a recap and showcase for all its latest products, the event was also held to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary in the ICT industry.
What sets the Edition 30 apart from the other ZenBook models is its design. Instead of an all-metal motif, the Edition 30 showcases a pearl white leather cover, attached to the back of the notebook’s display. To add to its opulence, the leather is also embossed with a specially designed 30th anniversary, 18 karat rose gold-plated emblem.
Besides the aesthetics, the ZenBook Edition 30’s hardware is nearly identical to the ZenBook 13. It comes with either an 8th generation Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U CPU, a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) NanoEdge display. It’s also fitted with just an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU, between 8GB and 16GB LPDDR3-2133MHz RAM, and up to 1TB of storage via an NVMe PCIe SSD.
It also comes with ASUS’ 5.65-inch Full HD+ ScreenPad 2.0, plus a multitude of ports including USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, USB Gen2 Type-A, a HDMI port, MicroSD Card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
At the time of writing, ASUS Malaysia has yet to specify a local pricing or availability.
