For those living outside of the US, the price of games may be another element deterring gamers from using the Epic Games Store (EGS). This is because the lack of regional pricing usually just means more expensive games. This issue will be addressed, even if only temporarily, with an upcoming sale for the EGS.
The Fortnite Twitter account tweeted out that there will be an EGS sale in the works. No details beyond that has been shared, but the Epic Games Twitter account says that more information will be shared in a few days.
We look forward to sharing more info about the Epic Mega Sale soon! https://t.co/urpsVqp1No

Both tweets came after a Message of the Day (MOTD) regarding the sale went live prematurely on Fortnite. The message was also intended as a reminder of the sale, with a US$10 (~RM41.7) incentive to use two-factor authentication.
While Epic Games let the cat out of the bag early, the sale may still serve as more competition to Valve. The latter’s Steam summer sale traditionally happens near the end of June, so there’s still slightly over a month for Epic Games to sort out details of the sale, and make an official announcement.
