After plenty of teasers and leaks, OnePlus has finally unveiled its new flagship phone, the OnePlus 7 Pro to the world. The company is quite confident of its new product to the extent that its CEO and Founder, Pete Lau boldly claimed that OnePlus 7 Pro will become a new benchmark of the industry
Comes without any display notch, the OnePlus 7 Pro is equipped with 6.67-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display that has a pixel density of 516ppi and brightness level of 800nits. Alongside a refresh rate of 90Hz, the display also offers DCI-P3 colour space together with the support for HDR10+.
The OnePlus 7 Pro also features a larger in-display fingerprint sensor that apparently allows users to unlock the device in just 0.21 seconds. Since the phone doesn’t come with a display notch, OnePlus 7 Pro’s 16MP selfie camera was housed inside a motorized pop-up module instead.
On its back, the phone features a triple camera system which includes a main camera with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and 7-elements f/1.6 lens. Alongside it is a 16MP ultra-wide f/2.2 camera as well as another 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
In terms of raw firepower, the OnePlus 7 Pro is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is being cooled by a liquid cooling system. The phone can be obtained with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0-based storage.
Together with stereo speakers that also support Dolby Atmos, the new phone comes standard with a 4000mAh battery. Thanks to the company’s own Warp Charge fast charging technology, OnePlus 7 Pro can achieve 50% of its battery capacity with just 20 minutes of charging time.
Price-wise, the OnePlus 7 Pro with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage can be obtained for USD 669 (~RM 2,791). On another hand, the 8GB/256GB model is priced at USD 699 (~RM 2,916) while the 12GB/256GB variant goes for USD 749 (~RM 3,124) .
