During the Build 2019 event, Microsoft announced that its Chromium-based Edge browser will be available on macOS. But while the company did not announce any date for which it will actually be available, a link to the installer for it has already been leaked.
Twitter user WalkingCat (@h0x0d) shared the link via a tweet. Clicking on the link initiates the download for Microsoft Edge Canary 76.0.151.0. For the uninitiated, the Canary builds are basically beta builds that are updated daily. And can be littered with bugs or missing functionality.

Interestingly, the link itself appears to be from Microsoft itself. For now, the download link hasn’t gone live at Microsoft’s Edge Insider site. But considering the link is one from Microsoft, it’s probably safe to download it and try it out for yourself.
To recap, the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge is Microsoft’s latest attempt at getting a web browser that the public would use. And from the initial looks, it seems pretty promising.
