PetaPixel reports that Adobe is testing doubling the subscription price of its Photography bundle. The bundle was previously priced at US$9.99 (~RM44.41) before, but the report states that a number of customers are now only beginning to see the price tag of US$19.99 (~RM88.87).
The bundle still comes with Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic, but the new bundle also includes 1TB of cloud storage instead of the usual 20GB prior. For those who do not make use of the cloud storage, it may feel like an unnecessary doubling of their subscription price.
Adobe issued a statement to PetaPixel, stating that it is currently running a number of tests on its site. These tests “cover a range of items, including plan options that may or may not be presented to all visitors to Adobe.com.” In a way, this explains the discrepancy in price that different users are seeing.
At the time of writing, both the RM44.41 and RM88.87 options are listed – alongside the storage differences – on Adobe’s Southeast Asia page. It’s unclear if SEA subscribers are involved in this test, or if there’s any incoming price change for SEA subscribers.
