Google is known to come up with neat little ideas that celebrate the biggest events in pop culture and it looks like they’ve just upped their game with Avengers: Endgame. You’ve cried watching Thanos snap his fingers and wipe out 50% of all living creatures across the galaxy. Now, get ready to curse out loud as Thanos turns half your Google search results to dust.
To check out this special feature, internet users will simply have to Google search “Thanos.” When the results are out, you will see an icon of the Infinity Gauntlet in place of the usual ‘share’ button.
When you click on the icon, the animation of the Infinity Gauntlet will snap. Watch in awe as half of your Google search results slowly turn to dust, just like your favourite heroes did at the end of Infinity War. Take note of the number of search results at the top of the page as it gradually starts to decrease.
We may never get the chance to be an actual Avenger like Iron Man or Captain America, but we do have the glorious opportunity to avenge the fallen Google search results and bring them back from the dead. To reverse the events, activate the Time Stone by clicking on the Infinity Gauntlet icon again. All the removed search results will come back.

We’ve tested out the feature on Mozilla Firefox and Safari (on Mac) and it works perfectly all the same. The feature works on smartphones too, but the animation isn’t as detailed — it just fades away quickly without the ‘dust’ effect.
