The second generation Apple AirPods just became available to us last week. And now, we are already hearing news about its successors, as analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that two new AirPods will be launched.
Specifically, one model will serve as the direct update to the existing AirPods. It will feature the same design, as well as the same price point as the existing ones. That said, the report did not say if it will feature anything new.
The second Airpod, on the other hand, will come with a completely new form factor, and a higher price to match. Presumably, this means more new features, but again, the report is running scarce in the details departments.
Both Airpods are expected to go into production sometime between Q4 of 2019 and Q1 of 2020. Beyond that, not much is known about either of these new AirPods models.
