Xiaomi has just announced the Redmi Y3, with the launch event taking place in India. It looks like the company is placing quite the emphasis on its front-facing camera.
To start, the Redmi Y3’s front-facing camera comes with a pixel count of 32MP. It sits in a notch at the top of the display and has an 80-degree field of view. The display also doubles as a flash when you take selfies in poor lighting conditions.
Beyond that, the Redmi Y3 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, a 4000mAh battery, and a 6.26-inch HD+ display covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. As for the rear cameras, the Redmi Y3 sports a 12MP +2MP dual camera setup. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back.
The Redmi Y3 comes with two RAM and storage configurations. The variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage comes with a price tag of INR9999 (~RM591). As for the other variant, it comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, and a pricetag of INR11999 (~RM709). That said, it’s not known as of yet if the Redmi Y3 will make its way to our shores.
