Huawei has announced via a post on Weibo that a large number of its devices – and by extension, HONOR phones – will be getting the new EMUI 9.1 update. The particular version of Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.1 implementation was already pre-installed on Huawei P30 Pro and it looks like the company is giving older phones a chance at getting it as well.
Over 40 devices have been listed, including some devices that were released back in 2017. The list itself is broken down into three categories: devices already running EMUI 9.1 beta, devices being tested for EMUI 9.1, and devices being considered for EMUI 9.1.
Here’s a list of devices, as translated by XDA:

However, Huawei has also not mentioned a release date or time frame, so there’s no saying when the devices mentioned will be getting the update. Nevertheless, do keep a look for the update coming your way if you owned any of the listed Huawei or HONOR devices above.
