It has come to our attention that ViewQwest Malaysia has made some changes to its residential fibre plans. In fact, the company has pretty much revamped its entire offerings for residential customers.
Prior to this, ViewQwest residential plans come in the form of 100Mbps, 300Mbps, and 500Mbps. Last year, the ISP which hailed from Singapore has also offered a 1Gbps plan.
Now, the company has restructured its residential offerings into just two plans as shown below:
Not only that, the pricing for its 1Gbps plan has also been increased from RM 148 to RM 198. When we reached out to ViewQwest Malaysia, we were told that the price increase was due to the addition of Netgear Orbi RBK20 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System as a standard part of the plan.
Previously, the Orbi RBK20 was offered as an optional add-on for RM 39 per month on a rental basis. For the latest iteration of the plan, customers actually able to keep the mesh Wi-Fi system which is worth RM 1299 once their contract is over.
Unfortunately, when it comes to coverage, nothing much has changed though. Aside from the five locations that we have mentioned last October, the only additional place that customers can request for ViewQwest fibre plan is Twin Galaxy, Johor Bahru.
