In what seems to be a massive recognition to the modern era of digital content distribution, Microsoft recently has revealed the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Despite having the same physical design, this particular Xbox One S variant doesn’t come with a disc drive though.
Hence, gamers that decide to purchase this console will have to fully depend on Xbox Games Store in order to obtain games. Additionally, they also not able to play Blu-ray movies on the console given its lack of disc drive.

Aside from the missing disc drive, all other hardware within the All-Digital Edition console is still identical to the standard model. Price-wise, the All-Digital Edition console goes for USD 249.99 (~RM 1,040) which is USD 50 (~RM 208) lower than the standard model.
In Singapore, which is the nearest official Xbox market for Malaysia and the source for almost all parallel imported Xbox consoles in our market, the All-Digital Edition console is listed at SGD 368 (~RM 1,129) and will be released over there on 7 May. Given the speed of our parallel importers, expect the console to pop up at your favourite game stores soon after.
