Back in January this year, we have discovered that TM has increased the throttle speed for its unifi Basic 30Mbps plan as well as the pricing for the plan’s add-on passes. At the time though, TM has stated that it has yet to implement the quota system on unifi Basic customers.
However, that has changed recently as we noticed the existence of this section within the Dashboard section of unifi’s Self-Care website:
There is also the SMS notification that the system automatically sends to customers when their data usages have reached 80% of the available quota:
After reaching out to TM, we have since learned from unifi’s team that the quota and add-on system for unifi Basic already active since 27 March 2019. With that, unifi Basic’s customers might want to be wary of their data consumption from now on.
