Scheduled to be opened for public this weekend, things are rather busy at the Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya as multiple companies are working to prepare for the 5G Malaysia Showcase. Among them is TM who apparently already has its 5G network up and running over there.
According to a post on Twitter, the network is apparently able to deliver a throughput of 5Gbps. This is something that TM has never revealed before, even though it is already known early on that the company has planned to implement a live 5G network at the showcase.
Honoured to have YBM @GobindSinghDeo and @SKMM_MCMC Chairman Al-Ishsal Ishak pay an impromptu visit to our 5G convergence showcase booth during our setup today. We took the opportunity to demonstrate what TM's 5G technology is capable of clocking speeds of 5Gbps. pic.twitter.com/5GP7vLmFDc

Speed aside, there are plenty of things that visitors to the 5G Malaysia Showcase are able to check out at TM’s booth. Among them includes 5G-based smart home implementations, smart traffic management system, virtual reality, industrial smart helmet, and robotics.
Organized by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, members of the public are able to visit the 5G Malaysia Showcase on 20 and 21 April. The event will be opened from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both days.
