The Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) of Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today has launched its own WhatsApp-based Infoline which would allow members of the public to swiftly report commercial crimes to the police directly from their smart devices. The new platform also served as part of PDRM’s effort to improve its delivery of service to the public.
In addition to that, members of the public can also contact CCID Infoline to check the progress of their existing report. Not to forget, the Infoline also served as another platform for the public to provide information or tips that can help PDRM combat commercial crimes.
According to the statement released by the Director of CCID, Mazlan Mansor, the Infoline operates on a daily basis from 8:00 AM until 12:00 AM. Furthermore, reports that are sent to the Infoline have to be made from a phone number that has been registered with a telco in Malaysia.
Naturally, each report or information provided to the platform will be verified first before any actions are taken on them. Members of the public are able to send in their report or related information to CCID Infoline through 013-211 1222.
