It’s been nearly a month since Xiaomi announced that it was beta testing the Widevine L1 certification on POCO 9.2.25 beta of MIUI. Now, the brand is finally rolling out the OTA update to the Pocophone F1 in the form of its MIUI 10.3.4.
The OTA update will come packed with several new updates, chief among them being the long anticipated Widevine L1 certification that will finally enable Pocophone F1 users to stream HD video content from streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Video.
Apart from the HD streaming certification, MIUI 10.3.4 also brings Xiaomi’s Game Turbo mode that was launched alongside the Xiaomi Mi 9. Designed to boost the overall gaming experience for specific titles on the Pocophone F1, in the same manner Huawei’s GPU Turbo mode works on its phones.
The feature also allows you to take a screenshot, record, toggle the phone’s Wi-Fi, and switch between SIM cards without ever having to leave your game. All via a new overlay pop-up.
Last, but not least, the update will also enable the Pocophone F1 to record video at 4K video at 60 fps. Along with several new AI Modes for the camera.
The update will still be based on Google’s Android 9 Pie OS, and will be 515MB in size. At the time of writing, our Pocophone F1 still hasn’t received the OTA update, which means that Xiaomi is likely rolling it out in batches to all users. So do be patient if you haven’t been the update hasn’t arrived on your Pocophone F1 yet.
