Sony is officially bringing the Cybershot RX0 II in to Malaysia, a little more than a week after the brand’s ultra compact action camera was revealed. The RX0 II is the direct successor to the original RX0 that launched in 2017, with some improvements over its predecessor.
Specs-wise, the RX0 II still sports the same 1-inch, 15.3MP Exmor CMOS sensor as the first generation RX0. It even has the same ZEISS Tessar T 24mm f/4 wide-angle lens, along with the camera’s iconic rugged and waterproof encasement.
One improvement that has been made to the RX0 II is the inclusion of a waterproof, 180° tiltable LCD panel. Compared to its predecessor, the LCD can now be flipped up to give users a view of themselves, or flipped down to accommodate for a variety of different shooting angles.
The RX0 II also has an ISO range between 80 and 12800 and can record 4K video at 30 fps. More importantly, the camera can also record Super Slow motion footage at 1000 fps, and save those videos in the uncompressed S-Log2 format.
The Sony Cybershot RX0 II will be available in Malaysia at all official Sony store and authorised resellers from May 2019 onwards. The camera will retail at an official SRP of RM2799.
