After releasing Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7 in Malaysia, Xiaomi has now turned its attention to the company’s flagship model, the Mi 9. It was already been revealed that the phone will be launched this April but now, we have the actual launch date.
According to the information we received from Xiaomi, the new Snapdragon 855-based device will be unveiled for Malaysian consumers on 3 April at 9:00 PM. Of course, as always, the actual rollout date of the device could be on a different date.
Prior to this, local retailer DirectD has stated that the price for Mi 9 will be set at RM 1999. However, the price only applies to the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Hence, we have no knowledge of whether Xiaomi is planning to bring over the other Mi 9 models into the country. That being said, it seems that the Mi 9 Battle Angle/Transparent Edition could be a likely candidate too since the phone which features a red ring on one of its rear camera will be given away during the launch live stream according to the teaser above.
Well, only a few days left before we’ll know the answer. So, stay tuned.
