Update [9.04pm] – Maybank has released an official statement on the service disruption, which we are reproducing verbatim below.
Media statement: Services are back to normal
A Maybank spokesperson explained that the service interruption occurred earlier this afternoon owing to a technical issue which affected MEPS, TAC and some cards related transactions conducted via the Bank’s electronic banking channels.
“As of now, the issue has been resolved and services are back to normal. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding”.
Update [7.50pm] – According to a number of official tweets coming from Maybank, the issues have been resolved. We are however still experiencing intermittent issues with Maybank2u at time of writing – which we believe is due to transactional backlogs which will clear in the next couple of hours.
Hi, we regret on your unpleasant experienced. Based on our checking, the service is back operating as usual. We would appreciate if you could try again to perform the transaction. Thank you for your cooperation in the matter.

We are receiving reports, and can independently verify that some of Maybank’s online services at Maybank2u.com.my, as well as their Automated Teller Machines MEPS service, are experiencing intermittent service disruptions from earlier today. Mobile Transaction Authorization Code (TAC) deliveries to all telcos are also similarly affected.
Maybank has confirmed the situation via their official social media channels on the current interruption, and are working on a speedy resolution the issues.
Hi, we are sorry to hear that. Please be informed that we are currently experiencing intermittent for IBG transfer via M2U, TAC (all Telco's), Reload & MEPS. (1/2)
