While we await the return of the famed Motorola RAZR line of smartphones, more news has popped up around the foldable phone. Instead of having flagship-level internals, the new RAZR may be the first midrange foldable phone with the help of Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.
According to data gathered by XDA Developers, the Snapdragon 710 (SD710) will be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ support with be present as well, so power top-up will be quick. The battery capacity is reported to be at 2,730mAh, which is rather small by today’s standard although the actual capacity could be different on the finalized product.
The RAZR could be the industry’s second 21:9 screen, after the recent Xperia 1/10/10 Plus range, with a 6.2-inch 876×2142 pixels resolution display. There is a secondary screen outside – just like the original RAZR – with an expected resolution of 600×800 pixels. No news on the cameras as of yet though.
We do hope that the use of a mid-range processor will bring the price down, unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X, when the 2019 RAZR goes official. We also hope that the new RAZR will be heading to our shores even though Motorola is quite inactive in Malaysia for the time being.
