id Software is hard at work making DOOM Eternal, which is set to be released sometime this year. So it’s a little surprising to hear of another DOOM movie coming out as well, also scheduled for 2019.
The movie is called DOOM: Annihilation, and it’s a direct-to-video show that comes with a release window of fall 2019, which begins at the end of September. There’s even a trailer for the film, obtained by Bloody Disgusting.

Now, if you remember the DOOM film from 2005, id Software did approve the script for it. With that in mind, you may be wondering if id Software has a hand in this one. This is what the developer has to say about DOOM: Annihilation, in response to a question on Twitter:
We're not involved with the movie. https://t.co/Du3wHSHk44

Being direct-to-video, this movie won’t be making it to cinemas. That said, it remains to be seen if it will be picked up by streaming services when it sees release.
