The launch of Apple’s 7th generation iPad is just over the horizon. More importantly, a report citing several sources has revealed that the 2019 iPad will retain the headphone jack, as well as the Touch ID. This corresponds with an earlier report suggesting that the new iPad won’t bear support for Face ID, and will instead still depend on a physical form of security.
Oddly enough, there’s no indication about the size of the next iPad. One source says that the tablet will retain a display size of 9.7-inch, much like its predecessor. While another hints at the possibility of it measuring in at slightly more than 10-inches.
Speculation amongst the fruit company’s suppliers suggests that the tablet should launch alongside its new iPad mini 5. On another note, there is also the possibility that Apple will announce the two tablets during its next press event which has been rumoured to take place later this month.
